Questacon Science trip

Hannah, Alannah and Molly
Wednesday night I allowed myself to be talked into taking Hannah and Jorgia around to Kingston to the Questacon Science display at Kingborough Sports Centre. We went last time it was on and the kids had a great time so I thought that Jorgia might enjoy it as she was a bit young last time.

The word has obviously gotten out because there were a LOT more people there this year. Hannah and her friend Molly went off by themselves to explore and I went with Jorgia who flitted from one display to the next. Unfortunately because she can't read (well she can but not scientifically!) the displays weren't that much use to her unless it was VERY obvious what you had to do at them. The one she liked the best involved a spinning turn-table where when you leaned out it slowed down and when you stood tall it went faster. Of course this seemed to be every child in the place's favourite too so you had to line up for ages.

All in all they had a pretty good time but everyone agreed that it wasn't quite as good as last time.
